Hi! I'm Varonica Frye, the host of DIY Bookkeeping Buddy!
As the host of DIY Bookkeeping Buddy, I bring over 15 years of experience and a deep understanding of bookkeeping to support you. I’m a QuickBooks Online Certified Advanced ProAdvisor and an Intuit Certified Bookkeeping Professional—credentials that mean I know QuickBooks inside and out, so you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Accounting, I have a solid foundation in the principles of financial management. More importantly, I’ve spent my career working directly with small business owners like you—helping them organize their books, gain clarity, and feel confident about their finances.
I like to think of myself as a bookkeeping empowerment coach. My passion is helping small business owners not only maintain their books but truly understand them. A solopreneur is someone who runs their business on their own without employees. For the purpose of this membership, having subcontractors is completely fine—DIY Bookkeeping Buddy is here to support you! The key is that businesses with employees often have payroll needs that add complexity to bookkeeping, which might require more specialized support. This membership is designed to empower solopreneurs to handle their finances confidently with resources tailored to their needs.
DIY Bookkeeping Buddy is designed specifically for solopreneurs who use QuickBooks Online, so all our resources, tutorials, and support are tailored to that platform. If you’re not using QuickBooks Online, you may find that our content doesn’t align with your current setup. Your payment renews automatically each month. You’ll be locked into your membership rate as long as your account remains active. If you cancel and later decide to rejoin, you’ll be charged the most current membership rate.
Yes, you can cancel your membership at any time. However, note that there are no refunds for partial months.
Co-working sessions are held twice a month—on the 2nd Friday from 12-1pm EST and the 4th Wednesday from 7-8pm EST. These are virtual sessions where you can work on your bookkeeping tasks alongside other members.
You can submit your bookkeeping questions anytime throughout the month, and to be included in the current cycle, just submit them by the 3rd Monday. I’ll then create a detailed video answering your questions and post it by the 4th Tuesday. This setup allows you to ask questions on your own schedule, and I’ll provide thorough responses to guide you forward.
You can ask a wide range of questions related to bookkeeping and QuickBooks Online during the monthly Q&A. This includes questions about categorizing transactions, understanding your financial reports, setting up systems, or general bookkeeping challenges. Whether you’re looking for guidance on managing cash flow, troubleshooting QuickBooks, or organizing your finances, I’m here to help.
