Calm and Confident Bookkeeping
A Guided Bookkeeping Program for Service-Based Solopreneuers
You know you’re supposed to be doing your bookkeeping.
You just want to feel sure you’re doing it right.
Maybe you’ve been putting it off because it feels overwhelming. Maybe you’ve tried to figure it out on your own and still find yourself second-guessing where things go or whether you’re missing something important. Or maybe you’re just getting started and want to build good habits from the beginning.
Bookkeeping can feel like a lot when no one has really explained what you’re doing, why you’re doing it, or what actually matters. And when taxes, financial reports, and all the little details are involved, it makes sense that you want to get it right and avoid surprises later.
Calm and Confident Bookkeeping is designed to help you understand the foundation underneath your books, create a simple system you can actually follow, and get personal support as you begin putting it into practice.
Want bookkeeping to feel less confusing and more manageable?
Calm and Confident Bookkeeping can help you get there.
With Calm and Confident Bookkeeping, you’ll:
- Understand what you’re doing and why so bookkeeping feels less like guessing and more like a process you can follow.
- Know what needs to be done and when so you are not constantly wondering what you might be forgetting.
- Build a bookkeeping system that works for you instead of trying to force yourself into someone else’s way of doing things.
- Feel more confident reviewing your numbers so your books become useful for understanding your business, not just something you deal with at tax time.
- Create your own Calm and Confident Bookkeeping Plan so you leave with a clear, practical approach you can keep using.
- Get personalized, one-on-one support as you put it into practice so when questions or roadblocks come up, you do not have to figure everything out alone.
Meet Your Guide
Hi! I'm Varonica Frye, the creator of Calm and Confident Bookkeeping and owner of True Resource Bookkeeping.
I’ve spent more than 15 years working in accounting and finance, and today I work primarily with service-based business owners through bookkeeping, training, and education.
Over the years, I noticed something again and again when business owners came to me for help with QuickBooks or their bookkeeping. The software usually wasn’t the real problem. They had been told what to do, but no one had really explained why they were doing it or how all the pieces fit together.
That can leave you following instructions, second-guessing yourself, and wondering whether you’re doing any of it right.
I created Calm and Confident Bookkeeping because I wanted there to be another way to learn. One that starts with the foundation, makes complicated accounting concepts easier to understand, and gives you room to create systems that actually work for you.
I love teaching, simplifying complicated ideas, and helping business owners feel more capable and informed about their finances. My goal isn’t to turn you into an accountant. It’s to help you understand your own bookkeeping well enough that it feels less mysterious, less intimidating, and much more like something you can handle.
Here’s What’s Included:
Bookkeeping Education + Practical Resources
Work through about 1½ hours of concise, self-paced video lessons designed to help you understand the foundation underneath your bookkeeping, whether you use a spreadsheet or bookkeeping software.
You’ll also receive practical guides, checklists, and other resources you can use while you learn and come back to when you need them.
Your Calm and Confident Bookkeeping Plan
You won’t just watch the lessons and hope you remember everything. As you go, you’ll build your own Calm and Confident Bookkeeping Plan based on your business, your systems, and the way you actually work.
By the end, you’ll have a clear reference for how you want to handle your bookkeeping going forward.
60 Minute Private Plan Review
After you complete the learning portion and upload your plan, we’ll meet privately for one hour.
We’ll walk through your plan together, talk through your specific questions, and make sure you have what you need to begin putting it into practice.
Two 30 Minute Private Follow Ups
Sometimes you don’t know what you need help with until you’re actually doing the bookkeeping.
You’ll have two private follow up sessions to bring the questions, roadblocks, and real-life situations that come up once you begin using your plan.
A note about timing:
You’ll have 60 days from purchase to complete the program and submit your Calm and Confident Bookkeeping Plan in order to use the included live support. After your 60 minute Plan Review, your two follow up sessions must be used within eight weeks. You’ll continue to have access to the program materials after the guided portion ends. If you would still like one-on-one support after the included sessions expire, additional sessions may be available for an additional fee.
Calm and Confident Bookkeeping is for you if….
- You run a service-based business (think coach, consultant, copywriter, designer, or another business where you primarily sell your expertise or services rather than physical products)
- You are a sole proprietor or single-member LLC owner (the program is specifically built around the bookkeeping, owner pay, and tax basics that apply to these business types)
- You are new to bookkeeping or have been trying to do it yourself for a while and still feel like you are piecing things together (you do not need to know what you are doing before you start)
- You use a spreadsheet or bookkeeping software, or you are still figuring out which one makes sense for you (this program not tied to QuickBooks Online, Xero, or any one tool)
- You want to understand what you are doing and why, not just memorize which buttons to click (we will build the bookkeeping foundation underneath whatever tool you use)
- You are ready to create a bookkeeping approach that actually works for you (you will build your own Calm and Confident Bookkeeping Plan as you go and then put it into practice with support)
- You are willing to learn and keep trying, even when bookkeeping feels unfamiliar or hard at first (you do not have to be a “numbers person” or get everything right immediately)
Calm and Confident Bookkeeping is not for you if….
- You have an e-commerce or inventory-based business (those businesses have additional bookkeeping needs that are outside the scope of this program, and I recommend more personalized support)
- Your business is an S-Corporation, C-Corporation, or partnership (the material in this program is specifically designed for sole proprietors and single-member LLCs)
- You want someone else to take over and do your bookkeeping for you (this program will help you understand, organize, and do your own bookkeeping with support, but you will still be the one maintaining your books)
- You need a significant bookkeeping cleanup or have years of transactions and problems that need to be untangled (that usually requires more personalized support than this program provides. I do offer cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping services, so you can learn more about those services or schedule a discovery call if you are not sure which kind of support makes the most sense.
- You are mainly looking for in-depth training or troubleshooting in one specific bookkeeping software (we will talk about how bookkeeping works in software, but this is intentionally not a QuickBooks, Xero, Wave, or other software tutorial)
- You have a non-US based business (the business entity and tax information in the program is based on the US system)

Still Have Questions? I've Got Answers!
The video lessons total about 1½ hours, but you’ll want to allow additional time to complete the activities and build your Calm and Confident Bookkeeping Plan as you go.
You do not need to complete everything in one sitting. The program is self-paced, so you can move through it in a way that works for your schedule.
No. Calm and Confident Bookkeeping is intentionally not tied to any one bookkeeping tool.
You can use the program whether you keep your books in a spreadsheet or use bookkeeping software like QuickBooks Online, Xero, Wave, or another platform. The focus is on helping you understand what you are doing and why so you can apply that understanding to the tool you use.
That is completely fine. You do not need previous bookkeeping knowledge to start.
The program begins with the foundation and walks you through the concepts, systems, and regular tasks you need to understand to begin doing your own bookkeeping.
The program can still be a good fit if you have been doing your own bookkeeping but feel unsure about what you are doing, have trouble keeping up with it, or want a stronger system and understanding going forward.
If your books need a significant cleanup or years of past transactions need to be corrected, you may need more personalized support than this program provides. You can learn more about my cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping services to see whether that would be a better fit.
You’ll have 60 days from purchase to complete the learning portion and submit your Calm and Confident Bookkeeping Plan in order to use the included live support.
After you submit your plan, I’ll review it and send you a link to schedule your 60 minute private Plan Review. During that session, we’ll walk through your plan, answer your questions, and make sure you have what you need to begin putting it into practice.
After your Plan Review, you’ll have eight weeks to use your two included 30 minute private follow up sessions. These are designed for the questions and situations that come up once you actually start using your plan.
You’ll still have access to the program materials and resources, so you can continue learning and complete your plan on your own time.
However, the 60 minute Plan Review and two 30 minute follow up sessions are part of the time-limited guided portion of the program. If you do not complete the program and submit your plan within 60 days of purchase, the included private sessions will expire. If you would still like one-on-one support after that point, additional sessions may be available for an additional fee.
You’ll continue to have access to the learning materials and resources after the guided portion of the program ends.
The one-on-one support does have time limits. Your Plan must be submitted within 60 days of purchase, and your two follow up sessions must be used within eight weeks of your Plan Review.
Sometimes you may realize that what you need is more personalized support, especially if your books need a significant cleanup or you would rather have someone else take over the bookkeeping.
I offer cleanup, catch-up, and ongoing bookkeeping services through True Resource Bookkeeping. You can learn more about my bookkeeping services or schedule a discovery call if you are not sure what kind of support would be the best fit.
